We have had great success with this product. The secret for carpet is to apply liberally (with a watering can or a manual pressure sprayer) and then cover with plastic for a week or two. Otherwise the surface will dry out leaving a brownish stain. Let it work and then test and reapply if necessary.

This is the only product I have ever used that actually removes the odor of cat urine. It really does work. I have used it exclusively for 2 years now for a beloved cat that started misbehaving at age 13. Thanks to this product, I did not have to get rid of my cat. I recommend a heavy duty UV light source for finding sources of urine to go along with this product (not the little hand held tube ones commonly available at pet stores or sold with pet odor solutions). I purchased one also on Amazon: Streamlight Twin-Task 3C 9 Inch UV Flashlight, Black #51010. The only thing that could improve my quality of life above these 2 products is if my cat were to actually start behaving, so I don't have to resort to finding and cleaning up his mess!!

I have 2 rescue cats who continuously mark my home. I am very sensitive to smells and can't stand even a hint of pet odor. I have tried Urine Gone, Out Pet Stain and Odor Remover, multiple regular carpet cleaners, home remedies, and professional cleaning with no help. I was about to give up when I tried Urine-Off. After following the instructions, the odors were virtually eliminated! It also has a very pleasant fresh scent while it's working which I love! I recommend this product to everyone, especially those who are frustrated with problem cats!

I have a cat that has urinated on the carpet in four different places we've lived--most recently in the living room of my new apartment. In the past, I tried many different sprays and concoctions in combination with spot cleaning my carpet to eliminate the odor, but nothing has ever worked for more than a day or so. This time I purchased Urine Off because I saw several people online had recommended it. I spot cleaned the carpet with my Bissell and sprayed Urine Off on it, and the embarrassing and irritating smell I hadn't been able to mask was gone the next day and I haven't smelled it since. To me, this is a miracle.

For years, I have searched for a product that can truly work to remove cat pee from the carpet in areas where it is not practical to remove the carpet. Some products claim to work but are not very effective. Urine Off does work. I have used the Urine Off on parts of the carpet where my cat really soaked the carpet with pee and it no longer has any sign that the cat had peed there -- no smell and no stain. The affected area, when you wet it with the Urine Off, can smell worse for a few days but this is due to the moisture. Be assured that the enzymes are at work and the smell will go away. I usually thoroughly soak the area with Urine Off, rub it in and then cover it with the plastic backed mattress pads that people use on children's beds (with the plastic facing the carpet). After about a week or so, remove the cover. It may take a month for the enzymes to completely do their job but the smell will not come back unless your cat pees again in the same spot.
